The foundation was born out of the tragic kidnapping, rape and murder of Denise Lee in North Port, Florida in 2008. Despite 5 calls made to 9-1-1 that day, including a 9-minute call from a bystander witnessing her abduction in the car next to her, Denise was not rescued before her murder.
